About Us

    The Washin Dojo instructors have been training in Nippon Kamishin Ryu for over 30 years.

   

   Kyoshi Newkirk began training under Dai-Soke Albert C. Church Jr. in 1972.

Hanshi Newkirk earned the Black Belt grades under Dai-Soke Church and Shodai Ron Cherry, earning his Hachidan (8th Degree Black Belt) and Hanshi license under the current head-family, Darrell Collins, Soke.

 

   Shihan Wallace Clearman began training in Nippon Kamishin Ryu in the late 70's under Bubba Winningham, Sensei.

Shihan Clearman continued training until the mid-80's. At this time, Shihan Clearman continued training in various martial arts until returning in 2007, earning his Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt and Renshi (Polished-Master) license in 2014.
